
Today's inspiration
I was getting inspired by the fabulous world of illustrations by Ed Emberley and started drawing simple animal figure using triangles, circles and other forms. And when I drew these two mice, the song by Pino Daniele came to my mind. I know these are not "scarrafone", but I think it applies well to the scene I drew. A farewell from the Newsletter Editor
In an airplane emergency mothers are always advised to put on their own oxygen masks first and then help their children putting on theirs. This metaphor has been my guideline for several years now and whenever I feel tired, overwhelmed or stressed, I repeat it to myself like a mantra: put on your oxygen mask, put on your oxygen mask... I must admit, I've done it about a zillion times in the past ten some years.

Give me... water to swim in!
Summer has never been one of my favorite seasons, I love spring and fall for the drastic change they bring about in nature and I don't mind cold winters either, curled up by the fireplace to read a good book. What I do love about summer, though, is being able to swim in the lake. Lake, mind you, and not the ocean, since having been brought up by lakes I am used to the light, silky and waveless waters where you can actually swim around an island and get some exercise. The sea
